Role Summary:
The Operations Lead is a key member of the Forth & Nomad leadership team, responsible for managing the essential back-of-house operations that keep the store running smoothly. This role focuses on inventory management, eCommerce fulfillment, supply coordination, and supporting store technology. The Operations Lead plays a critical part in delivering an elevated customer experience by ensuring seamless product availability, efficient order processing, and organized store operations.
This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive leader who is passionate about operational excellence, loves creating systems, and can help the team stay informed and aligned with Forth & Nomad’s high standards and thoughtful brand values.
Qualifications:
● Forth & Nomad brand enthusiast with a passion for creating thoughtful, organized spaces.
● 2+ years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, or eCommerce fulfillment.
● Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
● Comfortable working with point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
● Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
● Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
1. InventoryManagement&ProductFlow
● Receive, barcode, and organize all incoming inventory with accuracy and efficiency.
● Oversee routine and annual inventory counts, ensuring precision in stock levels and timely resolution of discrepancies.
● Maintain a clean, functional, and organized backstock storeroom to support easy product access and a polished sales floor.
● Monitor product flow and stock levels, communicating with the leadership team to ensure timely replenishment and balanced merchandising.
● Ensure inventory management practices align with Forth & Nomad’s operational standards and brand expectations.
2. eCommerceFulfillment&DigitalOperations
● Oversee timely and accurate eCommerce order processing, packaging, and shipping to ensure a seamless customer experience across channels.
● Monitor online order volumes and fulfillment KPIs to support business goals and customer satisfaction.
● Assist with in-store technology updates, including point-of-sale systems and inventory management tools, ensuring system accuracy and team proficiency.
3. Operational Leadership & Daily Processes
● Lead weekly supply checks for all store and operational needs, submitting purchasing requests as needed to maintain a fully stocked and functional environment.
● Support the Store Manager in driving sales goals and maintaining operational efficiency.
● Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising & Sales Leads to ensure smooth product flow from back-of-house to the sales floor.
4. Team Collaboration & Product Knowledge
● Act as the key communicator for new product arrivals and restocks, ensuring the entire team is up to date on inventory changes and product details.
● Partner with the Sales Lead to ensure product knowledge is consistently shared and applied on the floor to enhance the customer experience.
● Assist in cross-training the team in operational processes to build a versatile, collaborative, and accountable store culture.
